Netscope Download for Mac

Your whole network day in one native app.

Netscope is the SSH workspace and network toolbox for macOS. Sessions, tunnels, file transfer and 33 diagnostic tools, in one private Mac app.

Free beta. Requires a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 26. Signed and notarized by Apple.

Built for people who spend the day asking "is it DNS, the path, the cert or the subnet?"

Network engineers, sysadmins, MSP technicians and homelab people who live in terminals. Netscope puts the terminal and the toolbox in the same window, so one answer leads to the next.

One app instead of ten

Terminal, session library, file transfer, tunnels and diagnostics side by side. A traceroute hop hands off to Whois, a host to SSH.

Made for the Mac

SwiftUI on macOS 26 with Liquid Glass. Full keyboard control, dark mode, Shortcuts actions. Not a cross-platform port.

Built for real gear

Legacy SSH algorithms when an old switch needs them, serial consoles, Telnet, login scripts and highlighting for interface states.

Private by design

No account, no analytics, no tracking. Secrets live in the macOS Keychain and your library stays on your Mac.

Every device, one workspace.

Your sessions in a real library, the terminal that goes with them, and the file transfers and tunnels you need alongside.

A library, not a list

Folders carry defaults that every session inside inherits: user, port, key, algorithms, theme, logging.

  • Folder colours, status dots for open sessions, multi-select, drag and drop, Get Info with ⌘I
  • Quick Connect from the sidebar: user@host:port, telnet:// and serial://
  • Jump hosts up to three hops, and fallback addresses tried in order
  • Tabs you can reorder; titles that follow the prompt and show activity
  • Import your sessions from SecureCRT, folders included

A terminal that understands network gear

Modern SSH by default. When a fifteen-year-old switch only speaks the old dialect, turn it on per session or per folder, and get told exactly which side offered what when it still will not connect.

  • SSH, Telnet and serial consoles in the same tabs; Ed25519, ECDSA and RSA keys generated or imported
  • Keyword highlighting for interfaces, up/down states, errors and addresses. Display only, never changes the bytes
  • Login scripts (expect/send) for consoles that need a nudge; a per-session initial command
  • Paste review: multi-line pastes open in a sheet first. Check for unbalanced quotes, broken heredocs or stray tabs, and set a line delay for slow devices
  • Session ended? Press Return or ⌘R to reconnect. Search the scrollback, copy on select, paste with middle-click
  • Per-session logging with timestamps, and terminal recordings you can replay in the built-in player

Tools for every layer.

Monitor while you work

Background monitoring of hosts, paths and certificate expiry. A menu bar extra shows sparklines, and you get a notification when something changes.

Made for the Mac

Every command has a shortcut. Turn off the modules you do not use and the app gets as small as you want. Shortcuts actions and netscope:// links for the rest.

Your data, your Macs

Sync the library through a folder you choose: iCloud Drive, Dropbox or a NAS. Sessions, folders, snippets and tunnels merge per item; conflicts are listed, never overwritten. Keys stay per Mac. Back up the whole library to one file, and lock the app with Touch ID.

No accounts. No analytics. No tracking.

Passwords and keys are stored in your Mac's Keychain. Your session library stays on your Mac, or in a folder you choose to sync.

The app only contacts the hosts you connect to and the public services a tool names on screen, such as the speed test or the public-IP lookup. Read the full policy.

Free to start. One purchase for everything.

No subscription. The tools are free for everyone; Pro adds the workspace features for people who live in the app.
